Highly sensational Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Popularly known as AC/DC, dropped an impressive song titled, “Thunderstruck“. which Mixloaded made available for free streaming & mp3 download.

It was inspired by a flight Angus Young took from Holland to Germany, where the airplane was struck by lightning.

Overseas it was a top 30 hit in several countries, including a #4 peak in their homeland Australia. In the US, it did not appear on the pop chart, but did reach #5 on the US Rock Chart in October 1990.

the song has inspired a drinking game, where the participants listening to the song must take a sip of their drink every time the word “Thunder” is heard.

The artist Angus Young go further explained about the song saying: “It started off from a little trick that I had on guitar. I played it to Malcolm and he said, ‘Oh I’ve got a good rhythm idea that will sit well in the back.’ We built the song up from that. We fiddled about with it for a few months before everything fell into place. Lyrically, it was really just a case of finding a good title, something along the lines of ‘Powerage’ or ‘Highway To Hell.’ We came up with this thunder thing and it seemed to have a good ring to it. AC/DC = Power. That’s the basic idea.
