Brockhampton is an American hip hop collective founded in 2010 as AliveSinceForever in San Marcos, Texas. Led by Kevin Abstract and formed partially through online music discussion forum KanyeToThe, Brockhampton is a self-described “boy band“, so-called in an effort to redefine the term. Complex magazine describes the group as “gay, black, white, DIY, ambitious, all-inclusive, and would-be pop stars,” and this diversity is what largely distinguishes their lyrics and sound. The group’s final line-up consisted of vocalists Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, and Dom McLennon, vocalists/producers Joba, Bearface, and Jabari Manwa and producers Romil Hemnani and Kiko Merley, as well as graphic designer Henock “HK” Sileshi, photographer Ashlan Grey, web designer Roberto Ontenient (who also featured prominently in voice skits), and manager Jon Nunes, and this time, they Embark on their musical career to release this whooping track titled “Brockhampton” which is here for your pleasing audience and Free MP3 Download on our platform, Mixloaded.com.
BROCKHAMPTON is Kevin’s farewell to the band he created when he was 14.
He speaks from the heart about issues the band has had throughout the course of their stardom, he speaks on fights he’s had with members of the group, label pressure to pursue more commercial approach on their 2021 album ROADRUNNER: New Light, New Machine, despite the albums darker undertones. He touches on how he’s gotten back in touch with former member Ameer Vann and how it put a strain on some of the relationships in the group.
Despite the tension Kevin ends the track acknowledging the members talents & how they’ll all have amazing solo careers afterwards.
