Brockhampton is an American hip hop collective founded in 2010 as AliveSinceForever in San Marcos, Texas. Led by Kevin Abstract and formed partially through online music discussion forum KanyeToThe, Brockhampton is a self-described “boy band“, so-called in an effort to redefine the term. Complex magazine describes the group as “gay, black, white, DIY, ambitious, all-inclusive, and would-be pop stars,” and this diversity is what largely distinguishes their lyrics and sound. The group’s final line-up consisted of vocalists Abstract, Matt Champion, Merlyn Wood, and Dom McLennon, vocalists/producers Joba, Bearface, and Jabari Manwa and producers Romil Hemnani and Kiko Merley, as well as graphic designer Henock “HK” Sileshi, photographer Ashlan Grey, web designer Roberto Ontenient (who also featured prominently in voice skits), and manager Jon Nunes, and this time, they Embark on their musical career to release this whooping track titled “The Ending” which is here for your pleasing audience and Free MP3 Download on our platform, Mixloaded.com.
“The Ending” is the second single off of BROCKHAMPTON’s seventh & final studio album, The Family. It is the second consecutive single featuring vocals only from front-man Kevin Abstract, which is a shocking departure from their usual round-robin rapping style. Kevin uses this song to drunkenly reflect on the early days of BROCKHAMPTON and their unfortunate breakup over an insanely catchy Willie Hutch – “Let Me Be The One” sample reminiscent of J Dilla’s Donuts.
On November 9th, 2022, the cover art and release date were released by Kevin Abtract via Twitter.
The following day, they released a snippet of the song’s music video that shows Kevin stumble drunkenly into a bar.
The song released alongside an accompanying music video on November 11th 2022.
