In a May 2020 interview with Highsnobiety, Gunna said:

“We did that song in LA. Me and Thug really work well together, it was easy. This song was easy. I think the topic came from somebody saying they was going to put some money on my head or something like that. That’s where the “Dollaz on My Head” came from. That was the whole topic because that was the first time I heard it. I was like [singing] “I keep dollaz on my head” and shit.

On April 16, 2021, “DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD” was certified platinum by the RIAA.

“DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD” debuted and peaked at #38 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of June 6th, 2020.

Gunna’s “DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD” was released on May 22, 2020. Produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and Myles Harris and written by Myles Harris, Gunna, Young Thug and Mike WiLL Made-It.
